We are delighted to have been invited, along with the Friends of the RSA, to a Private View of Elements at Lyon & Turnbull. Elements consists of a selling fair featuring the work of over 40 of the UK’s finest jewellers and silversmiths; and the fabulous 70 Years of British Silver exhibition, curated and lent by the Pearson Collection.
The exhibition tells the story of changing styles in post-war British design, through over 100 pieces of the finest silverware designed and made in Britain. Guests at the morning Private View will be offered coffee and cakes on arrival, before being welcomed by Colin Fraser of R.L. Christie, who was instrumental in founding Elements. John Andrew, exhibition curator, will offer an overview to the exhibition. Guests will then be given the opportunity to look round the exhibition and the makers’ fair at their leisure and to enjoy a maker’s workshop.
