The Hunterian is Scotland's oldest public museum and one of the UK's largest university museums. We care for over 1.5 million objects spanning the arts, humanities and sciences.
As part of the University of Glasgow, we share a mission to bring together a community of world changers to change the world for the better. We use our collections and spaces to connect people with stories, to inspire curiosity, and to encourage creativity.
But we need your help. Every object we care for, exhibition, teaching session and community activity comes at a cost. You can help The Hunterian create real, lasting impact and opportunity for generations to come.

Empowering the Next Generation
Supporting our Opportunity Fund means you will help us nurture the next generation of diverse and empowered museum professionals through career-building opportunities at The Hunterian. Your donation will enable young people to gain experience through supported development so they can tell compelling stories for everyone to enjoy.
Collections to Remember, Not Forget
The Collections Fund supports the long-term preservation and accessibility of our shared cultural heritage - building connections to stories, bringing history to life and creating pathways for knowledge and action. This will ensure The Hunterian collections will continue to benefit our communities and bring world changers together.
Creating Change
Our collections provide valuable insights into societal, environmental and technological change, including difficult histories and the objects that represent them. They deepen our understanding of how knowledge and interpretation is produced, its role and its impact on society.
Your donation to our Change Fund will cultivate dynamic thinking, break down barriers between objects and ideas and drive positive change for people in Glasgow and beyond.

Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can significantly increase the value of your gift, at no extra cost to yourself, by signing a Gift Aid declaration. Gift Aid enables The Hunterian to reclaim the tax you have already paid on your gift. This means we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate.
100% of your donation, as well as any Gift Aid, will go towards the cause you select.
