Our chemists make their mark

Hannah Lithgow (MSci 2015) and Erin Bradley (MSci 2017) have both won awards in chemistry from the prestigious Salters’ Institute.

Hannah received the first ever Salters’ Centenary Award, which recognises and supports early-career individuals who have the potential to make an outstanding long-term contribution to the chemical and allied industries, while Erin was presented with The Salters’ Graduate Award in Chemistry for her outstanding undergraduate academic record. This award is based on an assessment of the potential of candidates ultimately to occupy leading positions in the chemical or related industries.

Both women are currently working towards industrial PhDs on the collaborative programme with the University of Strathclyde and GSK.
