Scotland Europa - September 2023

Scotland Europa, a membership-based organisation that promotes Scotland's interests across the European Union, hosted a panel discussion on what defines the wealth of a nation at its headquarters in Brussels in September 2023.

Joining the expert panel were:

  • Professor Kezia Dugdale, Director, of University of Glasgow’s John Smith Centre
  • Professor Graeme Roy, Dean of External Engagement at the College of Social Science at the University of Glasgow
  • Fabian Zuleeg, Chief Executive and Chief Economist of the European Policy Centre
  • Elizabeth Dirth, Development Director at ZOE, Institute for future-fit Economies
  • Rachel Lancry Beaumont, Deputy Head of Unit, Financial Instruments and Relations with International Financial Institutions Unit

They led a lively discussion on how we might measure prosperity and pursue climate justice alongside economic growth.
