Glasgow Science Festival

Zara Gladman joined the Glasgow Science Festival team in 2018 where she helped to organise many incredible events! Zara's time at GSF helped her learn skills she uses in her current role.

'In my role, I support staff and students at the University of Glasgow to plan and deliver their public engagement activities. Before this, I was part of the Glasgow Science Festival team for 7 years where I developed so many skills in different aspects of public engagement along with great friendships. One of my favourite events was an event we hosted in Nice n Sleezy’s, all about how scientists would respond to a zombie apocalypse. I got into public engagement because I really liked the idea of making science more accessible and open to people who wouldn’t think about it usually. My advice would be to take part in Glasgow Science Festival as they are an amazing team, and they will support you through it.'
