The Tom Campbell Trio is a collective of three Scottish musicians with Tom on Flute, Callum Convoy on Bodhran and Scott Turnbull on Guitar. All three are immersed in the Glasgow traditional music scene. The trio’s sound comes from a blend of tastes, ideas and experiences formed from Scottish and Irish musical traditions. A lot of the band’s music is original, although inspired by trad. However, contemporary ideas are also included in the new compositions and arrangements. The Trio won Battle of the Folk Bands in 2021, and have been storming the folk and trad scenes with their stunning sound. We are very excited to welcome them to Music in the University to present our 2023 Burns Concert.
We are delighted to welcome Gerda Stevenson to present choice Burns readings throughout the performance.

We currently have no requirement for pre-booking your FREE ticket! Just turn up at 12.45pm to ensure your seat. Once the Concert Hall is full to capacity, we will be closing doors. Latecomers will not be admitted.
