During the session, we listened to two presentations on what media and news literacy mean in different country contexts. 

  • Joanna Szostek presented her research entitled "Engagement with the news media and discernment of disinformation in Ukraine prior to Russia’s full-scale invasion."
  • Aykut Ozturk presented his research entitled "Belief and Resistance: Vulnerability to Authoritarian Disinformation in Turkey."

We then had a roundtable discussion on these works. Lunch was also served during the meeting.
