Dr Howard Jacob, Vice President and Head of Genomic Research, Abbvie visited the University in June 2018.

Dr Howard Jacob, Vice President and Head of Genomic Research at Abbvie visited the University’s state-of-the-art facilities at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus on 28th June 2018, including: the Clinical Innovation Zone, where he met with industry partners; the Clinical Research Facility; and the Imaging Centre of Excellence, home to the first 7T MRI scanner located in a clinical setting in the UK.

Dr Jacob commented: “I’m incredibly impressed with the scope of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus. I’ve never seen anything like the facilities there.”

The College was delighted that Dr Jacob also gave a lecture: “Genetic Sequencing for Drug Discovery and Better Clinical Care”, which was very well received.
