The Promoting partnerships (PRecision diagnOstics: MOlecular and imagING) network holds regular meetings and events to support the development of molecular diagnostics and associated technologies or software.

The next meeting takes place on Thursday 8th February between 13:00 and 16:30 in the University Seminar Room (2B078), University Pathology, Level 2, Laboratory Medicine Building, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, with the following agenda:

  • 13:00-13:05         Welcome (Dr Karin Oien)
  • 13:05-13:20         Node update and questions (Dr Ruth McLaughlin)
  • 13:20-13:50         Glasgow Precision Oncology Laboratory PRECISIONPanc cancer panel (Dr Susie Cooke, Institute of Cancer Sciences)
  • 13:50-14:20         Integrating Clinical Data in Precision Panc (Billy Sloan, NHS SafeHaven)
  • 14:20-14:40         Agilent’s Next Generation Sequencing Workflow (Dr Michelle Hiscutt - Agilent)
  • 14:40-15:00         Augmented Quantitative Pathology for Researchers and Clinicians (Tony Zucca - Visiopharm)
  • 15:00-15:15         Open discussion on upcoming events, funding opportunities, relevant issues or opportunities, suggestions for future presentations
  • 15:15-16:30         Tea, coffee, networking

 

The meeting will bring together researchers, clinicians, biomedical & clinical scientists, health economists, translational and commercialisation colleagues and industry representatives and is open to colleagues from 3Is, ICS, ICAMS and the College of Science and Engineering who are involved in the translation of research into potential diagnostics.
