Civic, external and global engagement

Strategic aims:

  1. To lead the way in developing and sustaining strong, equitable and mutually beneficial relationships with community, educational, industry, heritage and other local, national and global partners – developing and sharing expertise and creating positive impacts.
  2. Through research, teaching and partnership, to build on the College’s distinctive and unique strengths in ecological sustainability and environmental justice.
  3. To bring the methodologies and insights of the Arts & Humanities to bear in driving multidisciplinary and inclusive approaches to social and global challenges throughout our research and teaching (including in relation to the UN Sustainable Development Goals).
  4. With our place in Glasgow at the heart of our work, to embed public engagement, social responsibility and openness, providing opportunities for colleagues, students and partners.
  5. To incrementally expand and diversify our international student body via the development of new programmes and innovative (including online and partnership) modes of delivery.
  6. To develop and sustain an engaged and mutually beneficial alumni and supporter community.
