English Language & Linguistics

Employability

Welcome to the English Language & Linguistics pages on employability and work-related learning.

These pages stem from our involvement in the Aiming University Learning @ Work project (AUL@W). In collaboration with AUL@W and other organisations, we run two projects. While the projects are targeted primarily towards Honours students in English Language & Linguistics, the links and information in these pages should be useful to all students thinking about connections between university learning and work.

Here you can find links and information on the following topics:

  • Employability and Work-Related Learning
  • Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
  • Oral History – this section also contains audio recordings of researchers talking about making and using recorded material in their research

We hope that you find this useful.
