Welcome to David Shea! New staff member at the School

We would like to extend a warm welcome to David Shea who joined the School this month as Project Co-ordinator of the ESRC-funded Distant Voices project (led by Professor Fergus McNeill, Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research). The project is a collaboration with the University of Edinburgh, the University of the West of Scotland, and Vox Liminis, the third sector organisation where David’s post is based. Before embarking on this role, David served eight years as a police constable and sergeant with Police Scotland. During that time he contributed to major event planning, intelligence gathering, criminal investigations, provided front-line response to incidents and enjoyed being an integral part of the community. David also completed his police leadership and management diploma.

David maintains a strong interest in the human aspects of justice and rehabilitation. He also holds an art degree from the University of Dundee’s Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art.
