In the Guardian University Guide for 2013, Sociology at Glasgow was rated 1st in Scotland and 2nd across the UK as a whole. Notably, Sociology at Glasgow was awarded 10/10 in the score which compares students' individual degree results with their entry qualifications, and therefore measures the effectiveness of teaching in a particular subject. This result confirms Glasgow as among the very best places to study Sociology in the country.
