Research interests

After receiving a DPhil from Oxford and PhD from Heidelberg University I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Berlin before obtaining a PD (habilitation) at Tuebingen University. I am a regular member of the Vision Sciences Society, Applied Vision Association, Scottish Vision Group and the Society for Mathematical Psychology. My research interests range from quantitative methods (hierarchical models, Bayesian statistics), visual perception (motion, stereo, visual memory, visual awareness, illusions) to human decision making (sequential effects, cognitive bias, rationality, free will).
