Research interests

I graduated from the University of Glasgow with an MA (Hons) in Psychology & English Literature in 2004, and went on to gain an MSc in Applied Educational Research, and a PhD in Counselling from the University of Strathclyde, funded by the ESRC.

My research interests span counselling, psychology, education, and social work, specifically counselling for young people, school-based counselling, disabled children's experiences of the child protection system, and mentoring for widening participation in Higher Education.

I teach and supervise undergraduates and postgraduates focusing on developmental psychology, counselling and psychotherapy, and research methods.
