24 Sites open to ATTEST 2 recruitment, with 237 patients randomised!
We would like to welcome two new ATTEST 2 sites:
Southampton General Hospital. (Site 36). PI: Dr Richard Marigold
Southend University Hospital. (Site 25). PI: Dr Paul Guyler
August was the best month for ATTEST 2 patient recruitment since the trial first opened, with 38 patients randomised, just beating the recruitment total for July (37 patients)! Many thanks to all open sites who have been busy recruiting during the summer.

100 patients randomised!
We are delighted to announce that the 100th patient was randomised in ATTEST 2 on 9th April 2018 by the team at Countess of Chester Hospital! Thank you to all our sites who have helped us reach this milestone.

We were delighted to present the ATTEST 2 trial in poster format at the International Stroke Conference 2018 in Los Angeles!
Eight sites open to ATTEST 2 patient recruitment, with 52 patients randomised
We would like to welcome on board our new sites:
Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle (Site 11). PI: Dr Bhavini Patel
St George's Hospital, London (Site 08). PI: Dr Sofia Dima
December saw the first patient outside of the home site being randomised by the team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. John Radcliffe Hospital was the first English site to get 'green for go' to begin patient recruitment, and have now randomised 3 patients. The team at Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, have also randomised 3 patients since opening on 3rd Jan 2018. Well done to all!

UK Stroke Forum, Liverpool 2017.
The ATTEST 2 team held an investigator meeting at the UKSF in November 2017. We were delighted to see so many of you there and to have the opportunity to discuss the trial with you at our University of Glasgow Stroke Trials exhibition stand. We hope to see you in Telford next year!
Six sites open to ATTEST 2 patient recruitment
We are pleased to announce that an additional five sites opened to ATTEST 2 recruitment during November/ December 2017. These include:
Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. (Site 02). PI: Dr John Reid
Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. (Site 06). PI: Dr Ivan Wiggam
Leeds General Infirmary. (Site 14). PI: Dr Ahamad Hassan
John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. (Site 10). PI: Prof James Kennedy
Salford Royal Hospital. (Site 15). PI: Dr Chris Douglass
These are the first centres to open outside the home site, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, which opened to recruitment in December 2016. To date 39 patients have been randomised into the trial, and we look forward to increasing this with our collaborating sites.
