Research interests

MA (hons) Psychology - University of Edinburgh; MSc Developmental Science - Birkbeck College University of London; PhD Developmental Psychology - University College London. My research has predominantly centred around cognition and conceptual change, particularly in STEM areas. My past work has explored how children learn about science prior to school and how technology might be able to support informal learning alongside Glasgow Science Centre and other science museums across the UK and US. I am also interested in how children and adults learn multi-modally through the use of technology. My more recent pedagogical research has explored how staff and students have experienced hybrid teaching and education in light of the pandemic and I am interested in topics around social inclusion in and accessibility to Higher Education from marginalised and underserved communities.
