Annual PG Conference on 'Re-Reading'.

The Research Centre for Comparative Literature and Translation  annual Postgraduate Conference on the theme of Re-Reading will take place over two days on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 May 2025. The conference is free, and will be fully hybrid, with a couple of online sessions, so you are welcome to drop in at any point, and to join us at the reception on Thursday evening.  There will be papers by PG students at Glasgow and from around the world on a wide range of topics and approaches, and it promises to be an absorbing event.

For full details of the speakers, sessions, and timings, please see the attached programme.  Highlights of the conference will include a keynote address by David Damrosch, Ernest Bernbaum Professor of Comparative Literature and Director of the Institute of World Literature at Harvard University, a poster session, and a panel celebrating the 20th anniversary of the UG Comparative Literature Degree in our School, "Comparative Literature in Glasgow: Twenty Years On...".

If you'd like to join us, please register at the following link, and it would be helpful for catering purposes if you indicated whether you plan to attend in person: https://events.bookitbee.com/university-of-glasgow-296/re-reading-2025-postgraduate-conference/  If you prefer to attend online, the Zoom link is included in the programme document.
