Clinical Physics

We are a partnership established in 1973, between the NHS and a university component for teaching and research with bases throughout the West of Scotland. We deliver an IPEM-accredited MSc in Medical Physics which can be used as a component of the Scottish Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering Training Scheme.

We have several functions:

  • provision of facilities and expertise for health care in the West of Scotland
  • training in medical physics
  • involvement in multidisciplinary research by applying physics and technology to advance medical knowledge.
