If we are able to consider your application, based on the information you have provided, we will invite you to attend an interview. Interviews are normally held between January and March and invitations are sent to applicants throughout this period. Interview dates are not allocated in order of preference and most decisions will be made by the end of March.

Interview information

Interviews will take place on campus at the Nursing and Healthcare School, 59 Oakfield Avenue, Glasgow, G12 8LL. All UK-domiciled students will be expected to attend an in-person interview, but reasonable adjustments can be made for applicants who are located outside the UK.

Please bring with you one piece of photographic ID, such as your passport or driving licence. We also require evidence of your qualifications already obtained e.g., consolidated certificate from award body and English Language qualification (e.g., IELTS), if applicable.

On arrival at the Nursing and Healthcare School, applicants should first report to the General Office. Please make sure that you arrive in plenty of time.

What should I expect at my interview?

Interviews are individual and last approximately 20 minutes. They are usually carried out by a member of our lecturing team, a senior BN student and either a clinical nurse or service user. The aim of the interview is to provide you with an opportunity to discuss your reasons for pursuing a career in nursing. Applicants should be able to communicate their enthusiasm and demonstrate an understanding of contemporary nursing, healthcare issues and the role of the nurse.

What if my personal details change?

If, at any point during the application process, any of your personal details change from that provided on your UCAS application, you should notify us immediately. Your application and any offers placed will be made on the basis of this information. Failure to inform us of any changes may invalidate any offer made to you.

You should also keep your contact details up to date on UCAS and inform us of any changes to your address or e-mail address.

How do I accept this invitation?

To accept the interview invitation, please do so on UCAS Track service at www.ucas.com

If you do not wish to attend, please decline the invitation on UCAS Track, so that your place on the interview day can be released to another applicant.
