Intercalated degrees

BDS students may apply for a one year intercalated BSc (DentSci) after a minimum of three years study in the BDS programme. Students will be selected at the discretion of the College and the School within which the intercalated degree programme is offered.

There are a number of intercalated degree options available to students. The full list of degree options can be found in the Intercalated BSc (DentSci) degree regulations.

Further information can also be found here

Funding

All students are advised to contact their funding provider for further advice before applying for an intercalated degree programme.
Students whose fees are paid by the Student Awards Agency For Scotland (SAAS) normally continue to be funded during an intercalated year of study.

The arrangements for a loan will be the same as for their main course of study. Students currently funded by Local Education Authorities in England and Wales will continue to pay the relevant home/EU tuition fee.  Bursary payments will not be paid to students once they leave the BDS course.

The tutition fee for International students undertaking an intercalated degree will be equivalent to the international fee for students undertaking a Science degree.
