Mr Jamie Dickie wins prize at first MVLS Research Evening

Mr Jamie Dickie, Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Specialty Registrar in Restorative Dentistry, has been awarded the prize for the best “Lightning Talk” at the inaugural College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences (MVLS) Research Evening.

Mr Jamie Dickie, Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Specialty Registrar in Restorative Dentistry, has been awarded the prize for the best “Lightning Talk” at the inaugural College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences (MVLS) Research Evening.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the event took place via ZOOM on 21st October 2020. Medical, dental and nursing academic trainees were invited to present their research work either as a full oral presentation or as a “Lightning Talk”. The latter format challenges speakers to present their research work in three minutes using a maximum of three slides. All presentations were judged by senior academics from across the MVLS college.

The evening also included a keynote presentation from Professor Dame Anna Dominiczak.
