Biography
Obtained a PhD in Plasma Science and Fusion Energy from the University of York in 2016. Held a number of Postdoctoral positions: with the Plasma Science and Fusion Center at MIT, the Space Research Centre at the University of Leicester, and the University of Dundee. Was briefly a Teaching Fellow in Computer Science at Coventry University.
Research interests
I am using large computer models to simulate the sun. Models of convection demonstrate the origin of the solar magnetic field, and explain its variability. Models of the corona predict phenomena such as solar flares and coronal mass ejections. This has important implications for predicting space weather on Earth, in orbit and for space exploration.
