Mooting Society
The Mooting Society is here to support you throughout the first year as you prepare for your compulsory moot in Obligations 1B or the Law of Tort in semester 2. We will organise a series of workshops to ensure you are confident on your feet when it comes to presenting an argument to a judge. Aside from this, you can expect advocacy workshops, panel events, and shadowing opportunities.
Every year, we organise the internal ‘Dean’s Cup’ competition. This year's final will take place in the UK Supreme Court and the winners will present to Lord Reed. We also participate – with some success – in external national and international competitions. We always love to hear your suggestions too, so we feel free to contact any member of the society with questions, comments, or ideas.
