Professor Tom Guthrie

Tom is a graduate of the University of Glasgow. After completing his apprenticeship with a firm of Glasgow solicitors he taught at Paisley College (now the University of the West of Scotland) before moving to Glasgow University in 1992. He retired in August 2018, though he has recently completed a fourth edition of Social Work Law in Scotland and is working on a text on child abuse and the law (with Morag Driscoll) and a reissue of the Stair Memorial Encyclopaedia title on Social Work.
