Biography

Rhona joined the University of Glasgow as Deputy Director of the Diploma in May 2017, having previously tutored on the Commercial Contracts course.  Prior to this, Rhona worked in private practice and as a freelance solicitor and contracts manager.  Dual-qualified in Scots and English law, she trained and stayed on with CMS Cameron McKenna (formerly Dundas & Wilson) before moving to Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (formerly Berwin Leighton Paisner) in London.  In 2013, Rhona began providing freelance legal and contract management services to clients including ScottishPower Renewables, as well as later tutoring on the Diploma.

In all her roles, Rhona has been involved with developing and delivering training for clients and colleagues.  She has acted for clients in both the public and private sectors, specialising in projects, project finance, renewables and commercial contracts, and her secondments include Scottish Water and EDF Energy.

Teaching

Rhona teaches on the Diploma’s Commercial Awareness, Commercial Contracts and Corporate courses.  She has tutored Obligations within the Scots Law LLB, and from 2018 is teaching Professional Skills and Legal Writing Skills within the Common Law LLB.

Rhona also teaches Negotiation Skills and Client Interview Skills, part of the University’s programme of TCPD.
