Dr Ana Cannilla

Biography

Dr Ana Cannilla joined the School of Law in September 2021, having previously taught at the University of Reading. She holds a Law Degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, an LLM by Research from Carlos III University of Madrid, and a PhD in Law from the University of Reading. Ana’s research interests include constitutional law and theory, jurisprudence, and feminist philosophy. Ana convenes the course Gender, Sexualities, and the Law (honours) and teaches public law core courses in the LLB programmes. Ana also runs the University of Glasgow’s Gender and Sexualities Interdisciplinary Network. Ana is the UK Ambassador of SAFI, an interdisciplinary network of women in legal academia.

Research interests

Constitutional theory, philosophy of law, feminist philosophy and legal theory.
