Programme structure
The Glasgow LLM runs for a full year, with an annual intake in September. We also offer the LLM on a part-time basis over two years, with two courses selected for year one and two courses selected for year two plus the dissertation. The LLM is structured into courses which run over two semesters, starting in September and January.
We organise a compulsory one-week induction programme, tailored specifically for the LLM. This offers information and guidance on learning methods, research skills, and on non-academic aspects of life and study in Glasgow.

Teaching and assessment
Courses are delivered through a mixture of lectures and seminars.
Our diverse and international student body, many of whom already have professional experience, bring a wide range of viewpoints to class discussions.
Coursework forms part of the overall assessment for the LLM degree and provides a way for students to measure their progress throughout the year
Examinations are completed in December and in April and May. The dissertation is completed over the summer months and submitted in August.
