Gray Lab Group Talks

Titles:

Dr Alfredo Montes Gomez: The Effect of Staphylococcus Aureus in the Lung Epithelial Barrier in Cystic Fibrosis

Dr Nicola Robinson: Lung Repair in Cystic Fibrosis

Robin Carvajal Quisilema: Spatial Transcriptomics Reveals Reorganisation of the Cystic Fibrosis Airway

Dr Alfredo Montes Gomez - Synopsis: Will be trying to understand how the cells that form the airway barrier of people with CF are affected by bacterial infection.

Dr Nicola Robinson - Synopsis: This will be an overview of CF, airway repair and why this is important in CF and the differences in the basal cell populations.

Robin Carvajal Quisilema - Synopsis: This talk will focus on how spatial transcriptomics can be used to investigate changes in tissue organisation, cellular composition, and cell–cell interactions in cystic fibrosis lungs compared with controls. I’ll also discuss some of the spatial niches and epithelial and immune changes we are identifying, and how these findings can help us better understand tissue remodelling in CF.
