Equipment

We have an ImageStream® Mk II Imaging Flow Cytometer that combines the speed, sensitivity, and phenotyping abilities of flow cytometry with the detailed imagery and functional insights of a microscope. This unique combination enables a broad range of applications that would be impossible using either technique alone.

The ImageStream has four lasers (405 nm violet laser, 488 nm blue laser, 561 nm green laser, 642 nm red laser and a 785 nm laser used by SSC) with three magnifications (20x/40x/60x).

The output of each laser can be independently adjusted for greater experimental flexibility and optimal results.

The equipment is located in a L2 safety bench hood, allowing live samples to be used (e.g. human samples, infectious agents).
