Resources for Students

Students in the JMS building

The History Subject provides a range of specialised resources for students to complement those provided by the university.

Computer Labs

In cooperation with Information Studies, we provide two computer labs in 1 and 2 University Gardens for student use.

Baillie Collection

The Baillie Collection provides printed primary source material essential to the study of medieval and early modern Scotland, England and Ireland.  Most of the collection is housed in the Baillie Room in 9 University Gardens and the McKechnie Room in 10 University Gardens.  The Baillie Room also contains computers and a laser printer.  The Baillie Collection and Baillie Room are open to postgraduates, while undergraduates can apply to use the collection for dissertation research.
