Research interests
My research is mainly in moral and political philosophy. I'm interested in the axiomatic foundations of moral theory, the measurement and weighing of moral values, and the interaction between norms of rationality and norms of morality. I'm also interested in the ethics of aid and development and the philosophy of economics more broadly. Currently I'm working on axiomatizing (a version of) deontology, some puzzles in moral aggregation, the politics of tolerance, issues in constitutional systems design, and a bit of aesthetics.
