Talk and workshop led by Dr Robyne Calvert, Effective Learning Adviser, SLD
In the Hunterian Lecture Theatre.
Making the leap between what is expected of undergraduate to postgraduate research and writing methods might feel daunting, but it can also be exciting and fun. In the humanities, there are many opportunities to explore beyond secondary texts, investigating unique archival and material culture/object-based sources for research. This workshop is designed to introduce some of the approaches to research and writing at postgraduate level in the arts and humanities, to help you understand what to expect, and what is expected of you. It will also introduce the learning opportunities SLD provides to support your study and offer a chance to ask questions.
