The call is currently open and authors are invited to submit research papers including concept analysis papers, applied methods, and review papers concerning health economics and health economics methods for people with multimorbidity or comorbidity across any healthcare setting or population. Further research is required to clarify concepts, assess disease, treatment and financial burden, preferences, and evaluate the cost and cost-effectiveness of interventions designed to improve health outcomes for people living with multimorbidity or comorbidity. The Journal invites papers across the spectrum of health economics methods and analysis and will include (but is not limited to) the following topics:

· Perspectives of health economists around conceptual or methodological challenges related to multimorbidity or comorbidity

· Estimates of costs of illness and/or societal burden related to multimorbidity or comorbidity

· Estimates of associative or causal predictors of health outcomes, healthcare utilisation or healthcare costs related to multimorbidity or comorbidity

· Estimates of cost-effectiveness of specific interventions addressing multimorbidity or comorbidity

· Estimates of stated preferences related to health outcomes or interventions related to multimorbidity or comorbidity

· Ethical aspects concerning economics and health care delivery in multimorbidity and comorbidity

· Development of new methods for assessing costs and cost-effectiveness in multimorbidity and comorbidity

Submitted manuscripts for this special collection will be peer-reviewed in the normal manner before publication and an article processing charge may apply upon acceptance of your paper. Please contact the journal who can put you in touch with one of us if you would like to discuss the suitability of a topic at jcomorbidity@sagepub.com.
