In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Schools Health and Wellbeing Improvement Research Network SHINE has put together some wellbeing advice sheets for young people, parents/carers and school staff in order to support schools. These sheets are available on the SHINE website and have been circulated within the digital school community and posted to digital wellbeing hubs including Education Scotland.

Generation Scotland have launched a survey (CovidLife) to understand the psychological, social and economic impacts of COVID-19. There will be a follow up survey as the lockdown continues and again after the government measures are lifted to see how different Generation Scotland volunteers and household cope over time. SHINE has been working with Generation Scotland to develop a TeenCovidLife survey for 12 to 17 years olds to see how COVID-19 is affecting their health and wellbeing, social and home life. This survey will build on SHINE’s ongoing data-driven, systems-level approach to mental health improvement in schools.
