International academic primary care awards for IHW staff

In August 2021, General Practice and Primary Care's Peter Hanlon and BSc Global Health Primary Care graduate Iona Bryson will receive awards for their respective work on frailty and remote self-management for type 2 diabetes at the annual meeting of the Australasian Association for Academic Primary Care

In August 2021, General Practice and Primary Care's Peter Hanlon and BSc Global Health Primary Care student Iona Bryson will receive awards for their respective work on frailty and remote self-management for type 2 diabetes at the annual meeting of the Australasian Association for Academic Primary Care.

Peter Hanlon, MRC Clinical Research Training Fellow, will receive the North American Primary Care Research Group reciprocal award for his work on identifying frailty in randomised controlled trials. Iona Bryson has also been awarded the Early Career Best Paper award for her for her systematic review about remote self-management interventions for type 2 diabetes, undertaken during her intercalated BSc specialist course Global Health Primary Care and supervised by Peter Hanlon.

Both Peter and Iona will present their work at the awards plenary session at the Australasian Association for Academic Primary Care Annual Meeting.
