Explore the dynamic forces shaping our planet and society in one of the UK’s leading centres for geographical and Earth sciences. Whether you're fascinated by climate change, environmental sustainability, global inequalities, or the physical processes that sculpt the Earth's surface, our undergraduate programmes will equip you with the knowledge and skills to make a meaningful impact in the world.

At Glasgow, you’ll join a supportive and inclusive learning community that blends field-based discovery with cutting-edge technologies and research-led teaching. From local field trips to global study opportunities, we offer an immersive student experience that prepares you for a wide range of careers — from environmental consultancy and geospatial analysis to international development and beyond.

Programme structure and options

Our degrees are designed to offer both structure and flexibility. In your first two years, you’ll build strong foundations while also having the opportunity to explore subjects from across the University. From Honours (years 3 and 4), you’ll focus more deeply on your chosen area — whether that’s Geography, Environmental Geoscience or Geology — with options to tailor your learning through specialist courses, fieldwork, independent research and dissertation work. We also offer study abroad opportunities and strong links to industry, supporting both academic growth and career development.
