Dr Zhenghua Chen

Biography

Dr. Zhenghua Chen received the B.Eng. degree from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, in 2011, and Ph.D. degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 2017. He was a Senior Scientist, PI and Lab Head at Institute for Infocomm Research, Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore.

 

Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at University of Glasgow, UK. He serves as Associate Editor-in-Chief for Neurocomputing, and Associate Editor for IEEE TPAMI, TII, TIM, TICPS, etc. He was the Chair of IEEE Sensors Council Singapore Chapter. He has won several competitive awards, such as First Place Winner for CVPR 2021 UG2+ Challenge, A*STAR Career Development Award, First Runner-Up Award for Grand Challenge at IEEE VCIP 2020, Best Paper Award at IEEE ICIEA 2022 and IEEE SmartCity 2022, etc.

  • Time series data analytics: representation learning, domain adaptation, knowledge distillation, etc.
  • Time series foundation model
  • Large language model (LLM)-based time series analysis
  • Applications: wireless sensing, fault diagnosis & remaining useful life prediction, wearable healthcare, and beyond
