We are going to have a seminar on 'An Introduction to IHI' on 15th August 2014, Friday, given by Dr Hiroyuki Nose, who is currently the principal research engineer of IHI Europe Ltd.

Abstract

IHI corporation is one of heavy industrial company, with a wide range of business such as energy power plant, components of aero engine, social infrastructure, turbo chargers, space rockets, and so on. One of my tasks in Europe is to promote open innovation in Europe, so I would be happy to discuss the technical fields of mutual interests with you for future collaboration.

Biography

Dr Hiroyuki Nose is the principle research engineer of IHI Europe Ltd. He completed his PhD at department of energy science, Tokyo Institute of Technology. His specialty mainly involves application of radiation beams, especially transport analysis of ion beams for medical use, and application for Non-destructive inspection such as neutron radiography. He joined the field decontamination program in Fukushima prefecture after the accidents in nuclear power plants. After moving to IHI Europe, Dr Nose has been engaged in technical survey in various fields that are important to IHI. Especially he is now focusing on renewable energy, manufacturing technology, and nuclear decommissioning. Also He is keen to promote the globalization of IHI R&D activities and open innovation in Europe.
