3D PRINTING IN THE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

The CAD-Graphics team offers two methods for James Watt School of Engineering students and staff to attain FFF 3D printed components.

 

Fulfillment service

This service is focused towards researchers/academics, those wanting larger prints, high-volume batch production, or prints that would be challenging to produce on desktop machines.

3D Printer Farm

This is a "self-service" facility located on level 3 of the James Watt South Building, focused towards taught students.

  • Accessible 9AM-5PM Monday to Friday only.
  • You must be inducted into the facility and onto the 3D printer hardware and software you intend to use before using the 3D Printer Farm. Contact CAD-Graphics for an in-person induction.
