Clinical Lecturer wins Schottlander prize at BSSPD conference

Dr Victoria Hannah, a clinical lecturer and honorary specialty registrar in Restorative Dentistry at Glasgow Dental School has recently won the esteemed Schottlander oral presentation prize at the British Society of Prosthodontics annual conference.

Dr Victoria Hannah, a clinical lecturer and honorary specialty registrar in Restorative Dentistry at Glasgow Dental School has recently won the esteemed Schottlander oral presentation prize at the British Society of Prosthodontics annual conference.

The BSSPD, in association with the dental materials company Schottlander offers the prize annually for the advancement of knowledge in Prosthetic Dentistry. Victoria was one of four society members chosen to present at the conference in Manchester. She has been working within the Oral Sciences Research Group at the Dental School over the last few years investigating the presence of respiratory pathogens on dentures. Her presentation “Death by Dirty Dentures?” proved to be a hit.

Victoria will be celebrating her success in September where she will be awarded £750 together with a certificate at an awards ceremony held by the BSSPD and Brian Schottlander.
