Staff and Students enjoy International Evening

On a snowy Wednesday evening, undergraduate and postgraduate students got together with staff from GDS for an evening of entertainment and food from around the globe.
On a snowy Wednesday evening, undergraduate and postgraduate students got together with staff from GDS for an evening of entertainment and food from around the globe. Speakers from Iraq, Kuwait, Malaysia and Scotland gave highly informative and entertaining presentations about their home countries, culture and food, followed by some traditional Scottish music and Highland dancing. Scottish veggie stovies were then served along with Iraqi Kibbe, baklava, Arabic coffee, fifteens (a Northern Irish party food) and Austrian apple strudel. A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all.
