Dental School PhD Student Wins Young Scientist Award

Dr Sanne Dolieslager, who was funded by Petplan Charitable Trust for her PhD on feline chronic gingivostomatitis, has won a prestigious award for her research, namely the ABCD & Merial Young Scientist Clinical Research Award 2013

Dr Sanne Dolieslager, who was funded by Petplan Charitable Trust for her PhD on feline chronic gingivostomatitis, has won a prestigious award for her research, namely the ABCD & Merial Young Scientist Clinical Research Award 2013:

Her research was carried out within the Infection & Immunity Research Group at the Dental School and was supervised by Dr Marcello Riggio (Dental School) and Professor David Bennett (School of Veterinary Medicine).

These awards aim to reward innovative and outstanding work by promising young professionals in the field of feline infectious diseases and/or immunology.

The award (1000€) is funded by Merial and will be presented by the ABCD (Advisory Board on Cat Diseases) at the congress of the International Society of Feline Medicine, to be held from 26-30 June 2013 in Barcelona (Spain). Sanne will give a short presentation summarising her findings at this event.
