Glasgow-Singapore Scholarships

The School of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow invites PhD applications for two Glasgow-Singapore Joint PhD Scholarships, each scholarship will support research students who wish to undertake 18-24 months in Singapore for a collaborative project.


The total duration of each Scholarship is 3.5 years. It is expected that each successful applicant will start their PhD degree in Glasgow and subsequently relocate to Singapore for at least 18 months to work on their PhD research with a collaborator from an eligible Singapore University.


The two successful applicants will start in Glasgow and commit to applying for the ARAP scholarship in Singapore, spending 1-2 years in Singapore and the rest in Glasgow. The Scholarship includes a stipend at the UK-rate in Glasgow and at the Singapore-rate in Singapore. The Scholarship includes home level tuition fees.

The closing date for first round of applications is 31 January 2024. Shortlisted candidates may be interviewed to determine their suitability for the Scholarship Scheme.
