At the opening session of the international seminar on diversity in the audiovisual sector, held at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Katherine Champion presented research drawing on our ESRC-funded project on multi-platform media and the digital challenge.

Considerable interest was expressed in our approach to content analysis for measuring diversity across different media sectors. Later, Philip Schlesinger spoke on the current political and economic challenges to public service media in the digital age. The two-day event was streamed and the recording will be accessible soon.
