FUTURE CREATIVES
Future Creatives is an annual event produced and delivered by the scca.partnerships project and the School of Culture & Creative Arts. It showcases the dazzling mix of creativity produced by School students.
Work celebrated includes:
- film screenings
- live music performances
- theatre shows and new writing for the stage
- new writing and spoken word performances
- audiovisual and sonic art projects and essays
- poster displays
- presentations
We also invite guests from Glasgow’s cultural industries to contribute to the event.
At our inaugural Future Creatives event in 2024, a Key Note Address was delivered by Jackie Wylie, Artistic Director and Chief Executive of National Theatre of Scotland, UofG Theatre Studies alumna and UofG Honorary Doctor of Letters.
In 2025, a Key Note Address was delivered by Katie Duffy, Head of Art & Music at Glasgow Life, and UofG Music alumna.
Future Creatives also offers an opportunity for students, colleagues and partners to meet and mingle over refreshments and music – in 2025, UofG History of Art student and Subcity Radio volunteer, Frank Herman, played his set SOUNDS FROM SILENCE.
"It was such an interesting day and I had so much fun! The team were so welcoming and helpful and you should all be so proud as the event was a great success!"

Student Contributor 2025
"I really enjoyed the variety of work shown. It allowed for work that would often be left out of other showcase to shine. I learned that UofG are giving a focus to the creative arts and embracing the work of their students in this field."
