Abstract

Receiving reviews back from journal papers can be both exhilarating and daunting! How do you cope if reviewer 2 (or even 1, or 3) tears your paper to shreds, and how do you reply? Drawing upon experience as an author, reviewer and journal editor, Scott will take you through the ups and downs of receiving and responding to reviews, including writing the essential response letter.

Biography

Scott has extensive experience as an author and reviewer of journal papers, including for elite journals. Scott served as Associate Editor for the journal Employee Relations from 2015-2022, where a developmental approach to feedback is encouraged. Prior to this Scott had worked as a Lecturer in Human Resource Management at Aston University from 2008-2009 and as a Researcher in the Scottish Centre for Employment Research at the University of Strathclyde from 2006-2008.
