EQUIS is the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration. It is granted and run by EFMD, the European Foundation for Management Development and its fundamental objective, is to raise the standard of management education worldwide.

Institutions that are accredited by EQUIS must demonstrate not only high general quality in all dimensions of their activities, but also a high degree of internationalisation.

Head of School Professor John Finch said: “We are delighted that EQUIS has re-accredited the University of Glasgow’s Adam Smith Business school for a further five years. EQUIS accreditation has brought, and continues to bring, so many benefits to the School, especially in supporting and guiding our strategy process and our framework for our internationalisation.  We are marking the 300 anniversary of Adam Smith’s birth this year, and this together with our EQUIS re-accreditation has strengthened our confidence in the School’s positioning and vision.”
