A unique partnership between the Adam Smith Business School and RANEPA (Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration) will see a group of 26 students travel to Scotland to take part in the Russia-UK Student Economic Forum, in early February.

The School will host the visit of Russian students, who along with Glasgow students, will take part in lectures, workshops, a case competition and a weeklong academic programme focused on renewables and green energy, including a guest speaker talk from Keith Anderson, CEO of Scottish Power.

The forum is an opportunity for young people interested in economics and innovation to exchange ideas and collaborate on project work. Participants will learn to apply critical and design thinking, solve complex analytical tasks and work as part of a team to complete a project aimed at creating a better economic future. They will also enjoy a cultural programme including a tour of London, Edinburgh and the Blair Estate.

The exchange project, created by the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) in conjunction with the Adam Smith Business School, was set up to build relations between the University of Glasgow and Russian Higher Education Institutes.

It follows last July’s successful exchange between the students from RUKSEF 2018 and the Adam Smith Business School.
