Sponsor of the 2022 Academy of Management Meeting

Adam Smith Business School was one of the platinum plus sponsors of the 2022 Academy of Management Meeting, which took place between 5-9 August, in Seattle, USA.

We proudly sponsored the 2022 Academy of Management Meeting in Seatlle, Washington, USA, between 5 – 9 August 2022. The theme of this year’s meeting was Creating a Better World TogetherThe meeting was a hybrid experience and attracted over 7000 in-person and over 3000 online academics, students and practitioners, globally. The meeting involved more than 2000 sessions, featuring a mix of in person, hybrid and virtual-only formats. 

As part of this sponsorship, the our internationalisation team (Professors John Finch and Robbie Paton, Drs Xiang Li and Belgin Okay-Somerville, and Ms Aubrey Bierwirth) organised a networking event titled 'Whisky, Shortbread and Internationalisation'. The event was an opportunity to showcase the strengths of the Adam Smith Business School, as well as our various internationalisation projects, with presentations from Professors John Finch and Robbie Paton. The networking event also constituted a first taster for the many Adam Smith Tercentenary (AS300) events which will take place in 2023, with a short quiz on Adam Smith.
